We absolutely love what we do. And what we do is to create fun, energizing, experiential learning opportunities for youth. That means we don’t just deliver programs, we offer opportunities for life-changing experiences.

Our Approach

Passion, curiosity, and reflection happen while actively experiencing life, so we take to the road, to the rivers, to the mountains; we build things, invent things, create things; we talk, laugh, and connect; and most of all, we try new things and experience the world in brand new ways. Using the language, trends, and tools of popular culture, our programs provide serious learning in seriously fun environments.

Who We Benefit

Our programs help youth find the path to their true potential by exposing them to new and powerful learning experiences. We also work to educate our community and those that live with, support, and teach youth, to help them think differently about the potential of young people today and the powerful impact they can have on our communities.

Our Mission

Our mission is to unleash the individual and collective potential of today’s youth by offering experiential learning opportunities through:

  • Exploration of their culture, community, and natural environment;
  • Expression of their unique talents, ideas, and creativity;
  • Engagement in science, technology, arts, and outdoor learning.

Our Vision

New Heights has established ourselves as the leader in experiential education and social-emotional intelligence, empowering youth to navigate and embrace the challenges of growing up. Our focus remains fixed on the development of relevant and engaging programming, designed to unleash potential and open young minds to new possibilities. We remain constantly aware of the challenges facing youth in contemporary society, and work to navigate, support, and prepare today’s youth to become tomorrow’s inspired citizens.

Why New Heights?

Every child has their own unique potential in life, but obstacles abound. As early as the age of 10, kids begin to define themselves in limiting ways. They tell themselves they are bad at math, that they can’t do sports, or can’t draw. That boys are better than girls at science, that only girls like cooking. Popular culture, peer pressure, and limited exposure to new things can cement this self-talk and keep kids stuck for a lifetime. Our programs are intentionally designed to break these barriers and open minds, by developing engaging, fun, unexpected opportunities to try new things in new ways. And while no two people are made of the same stuff, we’ve found a common formula for success: let youth explore and experience as many developmental dimensions as possible. Our programming focuses on creating an environment where youth are challenged and skills are developed in four key areas:

  • Academic – Experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math
  • Emotional – Pathways for self expression, individuality, creativity, and personal meaning
  • Social – Opportunities for connection to others and the community through team building, collaboration, and service
  • Physical – Adventures that encourage an active lifestyle, self-confidence, and an appreciation of the natural world

While any one of these developmental dimensions can spark imagination and challenge conventional thinking, we work to introduce youth to each — revealing new pathways to help them find their true potential, and new opportunities for passion, curiosity, and reflection.
