It is with heavy hearts that the New Heights Board of Directors announces the closure of New Heights. For 32 years, the organization and its staff has established itself as a leader in experiential education and social-emotional intelligence, empowering youth to navigate and embrace the challenges of growing up. New Heights has grown from a drop-in teen center to a well-respected youth program that is deeply rooted to fulfill a need in the community. Due to difficult financial challenges, New Heights is unfortunately no longer able to keep its doors open.
The Board of Directors is working diligently to ensure as smooth of a transition as possible for staff and mission.
Unfortunately, at this time, we have to cease programming, to include all after school programs. We apologize for the inconvenience this likely causes, and are working intently to pursue continuation of these programs if at all possible. We look forward to providing greater insight into the future of New Heights’ staff and programs in the coming few days, and appreciate your patience and continued positive support.
New Heights apologizes to all parents and school staff who envisioned working with New Heights and sending their children to our programs. We will be working through its financial issues over the next month and as our accounts are reconciled, we will share more information and communicate with creditors.
The board would like to extend its most sincere thank you to the staff and all of those individuals and institutions who have supported and donated to New Heights over the years; acknowledging and celebrating the impact they have had on our community.
