At New Heights, we believe the best antidote to the array of problems facing Seacoast adolescents today lies in providing them with safe, challenging, fun activities in a well-supervised environment by trained, caring, energetic adults.

Thanks to our supporters, New Heights programs are accessible to all adolescents, regardless of family economic status. Ongoing opportunities for participants include outdoor adventure, music, art, cooking, gardening, nature exploration, athletics, non-electronic games, and trips to local attractions and events. At the ever-popular Teen Center "hang-time" participants can relax after school with friends to enjoy a game of pool, air hockey, ping pong, or just sit and chat. Below is a listing of some of the programs we have available throughout the year.

There is a nominal membership fee to attend the New Heights after school program. Some off site trips may require an additional fee to participate. Those fees will be listed in our New Heights bi-monthly calendar. Transportation is provided after school from Portsmouth Middle School to New Heights via school bus and from the high school by van.

10 Day Passes to the after school Teen Center are always available for $25.
This pass will enable a participant to attend ten different days of their choice during the 2011-2012 school year.

Daily Schedule
Our After School Program runs daily from 2:40pm until 5:00pm. Particpants choose from a variety of activties, camps, or supervised free-time. Low cost, healthy snacks and drinks are available for purchase at the snack shack for $0.25 to $2.00 per item.

Transportation Policy
A bus transports participants daily from Portsmouth Middle School to the Community Campus.
Parents are expected to provide transportation home.

Equipment
New Heights has quality equipment available for program particpants to use for all activities.

Participant Sign out
Parents/guardians must sign out participants each day. Participants will only be released to parents/guardians or authorized escorts who are listed on their participant information form.

Late Pick-up Policy
Pick-up time is 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm. A $1.00 per minute fee is charged after 5:30 PM. We need timely communication about emergencies that impact participant pick-up. Late fees must be paid before participants can return to New Heights.

New Heights Snack Shack:
Open daily at 2:30pm, participants can purchase low cost, healthy snacks and drinks for their refreshment. Prices range from $0.25 to $2.00 per item.

Special Trips:
New Heights works hard to offer programs for participants when there is no school according to the Portsmouth School District. Some of these trips have costs associated with them and vary in length and ability level. These days are listed on the calendar and require participants to pre-register and pay prior to day of trip. Trips close two days prior at 5:30 pm. Staff will call with trip details.
