In the Know Speaker Series

Strong Start: Smart Kids, Healthy Relationships in a Hyper-sexualized Culture

6:30-8:00pm Thursday May 8th

intheknowsmartkids

The New Heights In the Know Speaker Series discussions are geared for parents, grandparents, coaches or others who work with youth in pre-adolescence and adolescence.

In the Know brings together panels of experts on topics chosen by parents for a facilitated discussion so that together we can be informed and do our best to help our kids gain the confidence and independence they need.

It definitely is not easy, but research is clear that kids who have parents who actively communicate and support them will live healthier, happier lives. The volume of information, technology, and societal pressures parents must navigate with their children as they grow can be overwhelming.

Join us on May 8th at the Community Campus in Portsmouth NH for a discussion on Healthy Relationships in a Hyper-sexualized Culture.

There is no cost to attend the discussion, which will include refreshments.

  • Tracey Tucker,  LCMHC, Executive Director New Heights
  • Emily Murphy, SASS, Personal Body Safety, Media Literacy, and Sexual Violence Prevention

2014 Summer Catalog!

Dear Families,

New Heights summer program includes Day Camp, Adventure Trips, and Workshops in Portsmouth and Exeter.  Summer activities are available for youth entering 6th grade to those through 12th grade.

New Heights staff incorporates research and best practice in youth development into a variety of experiences that are both engaging and challenging.

Our programs provide opportunities for youth to make choices, fail in a safe environment and ultimately experience success—under their own power, on their own terms—so they learn to manage themselves and to sense, empathize and react to others. These skills are critical for developing emotional intelligence and successfully navigating all that life has to offer.

All of New Heights programs are offered on a sliding scale fee and all equipment and instruction is provided.  Our commitment to the community, and the families we serve is that financial need will not be a barrier to participation.

Best,

Tracey Tucker, MA – Executive Director
